Transportation and Logistics Management
Track and manage the movement of pipe by: Ship, Barge, Rail, Truck
Pipe Handling: Off loading, Stockpiling, Hauling, Stringing
Offload and stockpile pipe from rail or barge.
Negotiate through-rail rates for barge and rail.
Provide personnel and specialized equipment to handle material for project.
Estimating of transportation costs.
Track empty cars from yard back to the mill.
Coordinating with the mills and railroads/Barge lines to set and maintain delivery schedules.
Setting the specifications for the transporting and handling of pipe.
Expediting the pipe from the mill to the storage yard.
Tallying the pipe in yard.
Inspection of the pipe for damage in the yard.
Repairing minor coating damage.
